Dybdahl pottery was run by the couple Margrethe (1916-1999) and Palle Dybdahl (1918-2001) from 1952 to the 90s. It was situated in the country side close to Allerød north to Copenhagen. Palle made the shapes of the pieces and Margrethe made the decoration.
Margrethe had studied at the Rostrup-Boyesens Art School and the School of Design in Copenhagen in the 30s. The most known decor are these feather or leaf like patterns but she also painted figurative motifs and they both made figurines. Palle made stamps of masks, smiling suns, flowers and so on which were stamped on the rough clay.
