Rare deer figurine candelabra by Jeanne Grut (1927-2009) for Royal Copenhagen. Designed in 1969 and manufactured in the 1970s.
The candelabra is for five small slim candles. 

The candelabra has a handpainted decor which includes abstract flowers and hearts.

Marked on verso with the Royal Copenhagen hallmark, the design and model numbers 495/3711 the signature of Jeanne Grut JG and the painters signature

Factory first edition!
Excellent used condition. 
No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.

Jeanne Grut was educated at the Svenska Slöjdföreningens Skola in Göteborg Sweden 1946-48 and continued her education as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen under the professors Johannes Bjerg and Utzon Frank from 1950 to 1955. In 1958 she got in touch with Royal Copenhagen and stayed there until 1987. At Royal Copenhagen she created several animals in stoneware, porcelain and faience.
