Table lamp designed by Nils Kähler and made by Herman August Kähler´s ceramic workshop in Denmark in the 1960s.

The lamp base has an incised zigzag pattern and the glossy glaze is amber / curry colored. A broad band at the top is left smooth and without glazing.

Included is a new lampshade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and off white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. 

Incised with the initials HAK for Herman August Kähler + Nils (for Nils Kähler)

Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the mid-century period.

 

Very nice vintage condition with full function. No cracks, chips or repairs.

Height with socket: 32,2 cm (12.68”)
Height ceramic part only: 24,5 cm (9.65”)
Diameter lamp base: 10,5 cm (4.13")
Diameter shade: 26 cm (10.24") 

Light bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting.
The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
