Overview

Vintage desk lamp model B 187 by the Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984)  manufactured by Lyfa in the 1940s.

Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the greatest designers in Denmark in the 20th.
He was a functionalist and designed buildings, lamps and furniture.

He was the architect behind the Danish Radio House, Rosenørns Alle in Copenhagen from 1934. He also designed most of the interior as  lamps and furniture to this news agency of the time.
The house was ready in 1945, just a few months after the liberation

This brass lamp appears with a beautiful patina. 
It has a switch on top of the base, the shade is adjustable and the stem has a gripping part of dark green plastic.
The inside of the shade has egg shell colored lacquer.
